Abstract：AFLP, i.e, Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism, is a newly developed technique for DNA fingerprinting by Dutch scientists Zabeau M. and Vos P. in 1992. The principle, operating procedure, application and prospects of this technique were briefly indroduced and described in the paper.
